Carrie joined Banks & Starkman as a student in 2014 and articled at the firm prior to being called to the bar June of 2016. Carrie provides practical advice and guidance to individual and small business clients in many areas of law. Her primary area of work is residential real estate law, where she has handled numerous transactions for the purchase and sale of new and resale homes, as well as condominiums, and mortgage re-finance transactions.
Carrie also has experience in general commercial and corporate law matters, including new business formation, shareholders agreements, asset and share transactions and corporate reorganizations. She has represented both buyers and sellers in private corporate matters across a variety of industries and small businesses and has assisted business owners in succession issues through wills, trusts and other estate planning tools.
Prior to her legal career, Carrie was an environmental science researcher and completed science degrees at Mount Allison and University of British Columbia before completing the Environmental Law specialization at Dalhousie Law School.
